Security Expertise Database9-11 had a major impact on the world. But even before that, with the United States' heavy investment in defence research, one could see that security is big business! To have any impact on terrorism Canada first needs to know what innovative technologies exist here and where they are. First, to be applied immediately to the terrorism problem and secondly, to identify potential technologies that, with R&D support, can be developed from idea to product. Since Canadian capabilities had not been well known CPRC, CTN and Industry Canada partnered to establish such an inventory of Canadian expertise. This database represents a community of companies and individuals within the emerging security sector and may be sorted by province or technology sector; or searched using keywords. It is updated on a regular basis. If you wish to join this community, you may register your expertise, using the online registration provided. Your application will be reviewed and your information added to the database. Why join? First, others will be able to find you and your technology or service. Second, through Security Communities Canada initiatives you will be kept informed of emerging business and networking opportunities. Create a Security Expertise profile.
